Sponsorship Family Contributions

At Apogee Sacramento, we deeply value the partnership of every family in building a thriving community. For families receiving monthly sponsorships, we ask for an enhanced level of involvement to reflect their ownership and investment in the program. This not only helps sustain our community but also empowers families to take an active role in supporting our mission.

Requirements for Sponsorship Families

1. Volunteer Commitment:

Fulfill the standard minimum of 20 volunteer hours per semester, just like all Apogee families. (Please note: Families who do not meet this requirement will no longer be eligible for sponsorships.)

2. Additional Contributions:

Sponsorship families commit to contributing and tracking half the value of their sponsorship each month through one or more of the following:

  • Personal Fundraising:

    Use your personal network or connections with businesses to raise funds. We provide resources, including a customizable fundraising letter with our non-profit’s EIN, and a dedicated spot on our website where supporters can make one-time or recurring tax deductible donations towards your tuition.

  • Donations of Items or Supplies:

    Reach out to businesses for donations of items, or use charter funds to purchase consumable supplies for Apogee.

  • Volunteering Above and Beyond:

    Go beyond the standard 20 hours by volunteering extra time during campus hours, assisting at fundraising events, or supporting other needs. These extra hours are valued at $20/hour.

Example Contribution Breakdown:

  • A family receiving a $150/month sponsorship would contribute $75/month in value through extra volunteering time, personal fundraising, or securing item and supply donations.

This structure ensures we work together as wise stewards of the generous contributions that make sponsorships possible. Your involvement is essential, and we are here to equip and support you every step of the way!
